Submit your success story
Do you have a friend or family member that used to believe in something paranormal but through your efforts came to realize that it didn’t make sense or defied too much reality or that the evidence doesn’t support it?
Do you know someone who thought that Homeopathic remedies contain some sort of active ingredient until you explained the reality of the dilution factors?
Did you participate in a successful effort to keep some sort of pro-Creationist law from being enacted? Or did you help get a pro-Creationist law repealed?
Did you expose some scam?
Did you save someone from being sucked into a cult?
Have you convinced an anti-vaxer that vaccines really don’t cause autism?
Did you used to be a true believer (in UFOs, bigfoot, 9/11 conspiracy, ghosts, herbal medicine, homeopathy, some other pseudoscience) and have since come to realize the folly of it? What brought you around, did a friend convince you or did you apply critical thinking on your own?
Have you done anything in the realm of skepticism or critical thinking that would be considered a success, or a win, or a good thing and would make an interesting story?
If so, send it in and get it posted here for the world to read.
- We’d like to hear first-person accounts; your story in your words.
- Please keep it factual. Feel free to change any names “to protect the innocent.”
- Please be polite and respectful.
- Tell us a story, the whole journey, not just the end result. Tell us about approaches and arguments you used to try to convince somehow that didn’t work; share your learning experience, what kept you trying, what technique or approach you found that finally worked. Stuff like that there.
